About the interior design
In keeping with the transitional style of décor, the interior of this home features a neutral and subtle color palette. With the sophisticated blend of traditional and contemporary finishes, materials and fabrics, the result is a classic and timeless design. The hardwood flooring throughout the main level has a unique, antiqued finish, and the shaker-style cabinetry is a rich charcoal color accentuated by stunning, exposed wood beams across the ceiling in the kitchen and dining room. The expansive great room showcases the craftsmanship of a stacked stone linear fireplace finished with a knotty alder wood mantle. The addition of stacked stone in the master bath with the expanded walk-in shower makes it the perfect place to either unwind or get rejuvenated.
This transitional interior design keeps your quality of life relaxing and uncomplicated.
The Grandview Expanded – 2016 Parade of Homes
Custom homes in Forest Lakes by Jayden Homes. Jayden Homes is excited to be building in Forest Lakes, the new master planned community in Monument. Located west of I-25 off the Baptist Road exit, Forest Lakes offers a plethora of enjoyable amenities to its residents. Forest Lakes spans 900 acres, with 450 acres designated as beautiful open space. It has two parks, an amphitheater, and an amazing trail system that meanders along the lakes and through the natural tundra. The most impressive aspect of the community is that it is built around two stunning lakes. As most locals know, we don’t have a lot of natural water features in the Pikes Peak region, which makes this neighborhood extra special. Built in the mid-1980s, both Bristlecone Lake (65 acres), and Pinon Lake (14 acres) offer an attractive and unique focal point to the area.
SHOPPING AND SERVICES:
A huge benefit of Forest Lakes is its location. It’s five minutes to I-25 with easy access to Monument, Colorado Springs and Denver. Also, just east of I-25 there is business district that offers several health care facilities, a YMCA, banks, restaurants, and major shopping facilities such as Super Walmart, Home Depot, Kohls, King Soopers and Walgreens. It’s also just a hop, skip and jump away from the quaint downtown Monument, which hosts many fun events throughout the year and serves as the cultural center.
Driving Directions:Forest Lakes is located on the west side of I-25 off of Baptist Road. From I-25 exit Baptist Road (Exit 158) and go west. Continue straight through round-a-bout and over bridge. Veer right after bridge and you enter Forest Lakes.

Serving approximately 7,000 students, D38 has five elementary schools, one middle school, and two high schools offering a variety of programs including gifted and talented programs, full day kindergarten and preschool, and acclaimed music, art, sports, and activities progrograms. Named to the College Board Advanced Placement Honor Roll four times, LPSD students consistently place in the top 10% for college entrance and state examps with more than 85% of graduates reporting they plan to continue on to post-secondary education.
PARKS AND RECREATION:
As if the views of the lake weren’t enough, there are spectacular views of the Front Range, wetlands and a bluff to the south that is in the designated open space. Wildlife can also be seen throughout the natural area, and anglers will be happy to learn they can fish in Bristlecone Lake (catch and release), and it is open to unmotorized boats. Lake amenities are available by permit only, and homeowners in Forest Lakes are given a permit when they close on their home. The public is invited to apply for a permit for Lake Amenities, Fishing, Dock or reserve Picnic/Pavilion/Amphitheater by contacting the Forest Lakes Residential Owners Association (HOA) at: 719-389-0700.
