Custom homes in Cathedral Pines by Jayden Homes. Cathedral Pines is a beautiful subdivision conveniently located in the southwestern corner of Colorado Springs’ historic Black Forest just east of Hwy. 83 off of Shoup Road.

This area consists of 810 acres, 158 lots featuring towering Ponderosa Pines and remarkable views all in a park-like setting. With more than 450 acres of parks and open space, eight miles of trails, multiple ponds, water features and picnic areas, Cathedral Pines offers the opportunity for a truly remarkable quality of life.

This subdivision consists of mostly custom builders with a few higher end semi-custom builders. The lots are generally 2.5 to 5.0 acres and for the most part, feature towering Ponderosa Pines. Filing 2 does have some areas with smaller less impressive trees but the outstanding views make up for the lack of trees. Shopping and Services

Cathedral Pines is located 10 minutes from Chapel Hills Mall, a major regional shopping center. Also within 10 minutes is The Shops at Briargate, a lifestyle center, located at Highway 83 and Briargate Parkway. The shopping area features 50 specialty shops and restaurants. There are Home Depot, Lowe’s, Wal-Mart and Target stores all within 10-15 minutes also. Both King Soopers and Safeway have grocery stores within 10 minutes. A new retail center known as The Shoppes at Flying Horse is located nearby and continues to add new retailers. Memorial and Penrose Hospitals are both within 10-15 minutes.

About the Schools

Students living in Cathedral Pines are districted to Academy School District 20. D20 is a large school district which covers a large portion of Black Forest. Most students from Cathedral Pines attend Pine Creek High School, Discovery Canyon Middle School, and Edith Wolford Elementary school located in Black Forest. In addition, there are several private and charter school options that might be a good fit for your family.

Parks and Recreation

In the center of the neighborhood is the Lodge of Cathedral Pines which is a community center that can be used for weddings and special events. There are more 450 acres of parks and open space, eight miles of trails, multiple ponds, water features and picnic areas. Golf enthusiasts have Flying Horse, PIne Creek and Kings Deer Golf courses nearby with all three offering different challenges and topography.

From I-25 take exit 153, go east on Interquest Pkwy/CO-83 N; turn right onto Shoup Road then left on Milam Road.
