Dan and Kim Made Some Great Selections on Their New Foxwood!

The advantage of building a custom home is the opportunity to craft it to exactly meet your lifestyle. The beauty of building a custom home with Jayden Homes is making many changes and selections that won’t break the bank.

Dan and Kim chose the new Foxwood model as their dream home in Forest Lakes. This beautiful home is 4,291 total square feet and features a covered deck and front porch to enhance their outdoor living experience. The open design showcases a spacious great room with fireplace, dining area and kitchen with an inverted island. It also has the master suite and a guest suite/study on the main level, as well as a large recreational room and two bedrooms on the lower level.

One thing that made this building process even more exciting than just choosing colors was the fact that all of their structural decisions were based off of blueprints only because Jayden had not built this floor plan before, and there were no photos or pre-builts to provide an example.

Another benefit of building with Jayden Homes was that many of the changes they made were accomplished at no, or low, additional cost because much of the customization is included in the base price. On the original Foxwood plan, the covered deck is on the side of the house, but because of this lot configuration, they decided to put the deck at the back of the house. In the kitchen, they added a sink on the back counter with windows above and changed the location of the stove.

In the master bedroom, they moved the entrance into the expansive master closet to the bedroom rather than the master bath as in the original plan. On the lower level, a powder room was added, as well as a window in the Jack and Jill bathroom.

The new owners did select some additional options for their home. Because of their beautiful view at the front of the house, they went with the courtyard that includes an impressive outdoor fireplace. In the master bedroom, they opted for barn doors at the bathroom and closet. They elected to install stairs from the deck to the back yard. On the lower level they added a corner fireplace in the rec room and a functional soda bar complete with a full size refrigerator and microwave. They also upgraded from a three-car garage to a four-car.

The team at Jayden Homes hopes Dan and Kim are happy with their selections and the building process, and we hope they enjoy their home for many years to come.
