March 30, 2019 – Don’t be fooled by Mother Nature. Spring is an unpredictable time. Those from Colorado say not to plant anything outside or leave potted plants out until after Mother’s Day.
Give the deck some attention. While Jayden Homes uses maintenance-free decking materials, if your deck isn’t, this is the time to check for signs of winter damage and replace warped wood, rusty nails, and lifting boards. Once maintenance has been done, it’s time to reseal.
Have your HVAC inspected.
Clear landscaping of debris, trim overgrowth, and replace mulch. Remember to clear growth away from your home for fire prevention measures.
Change smoke detector batteries and replace HVAC filters.
Clean patio furniture and check your supply of wood for evening fire pits.
Check the mower to make sure it’s ready for the first spring mowing.
Apply fertilizer with weed control. This is great to do before a spring snow!
Seal your home’s concrete.
Inspect windows and doors and apply weatherstripping as needed.
