ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
Spanning 1,600 acres, Flying Horse is a luxury master-planned community with fabulous amenities. At the heart of the community is The Club at Flying Horse, which boasts a challenging 18-hole private member golf course that was designed by Tom Weiskopf, an athletic club with swimming and tennis, and a world-class spa. The Club also features fine dining at The Steakhouse and overnight accommodations at The Lodge.
Located between I-25 and Hwy 83 just south of North Gate Road, Flying Horse is convenient to both Colorado Springs and Denver, plus it’s close to shopping in Monument. It also proudly boasts the enterprising K-12 Discovery Canyon school, which is in the prestigious Academy School District 20.
Developer Classic Communities opened up home building in Flying Horse in 2005, and Jayden Homes has been a participant. Our most recent building project was a Brookside in the Village of Verona.
Shopping and Services
Flying Horse is located 10 minutes from Chapel Hills Mall, a major regional shopping center. Also within 10 minutes is The Shops at Briargate, a lifestyle center, located at Highway 83 and Briargate Parkway. The shopping area features 50 specialty shops and restaurants. There are Home Depot, Lowe’s, Wal-Mart and Target stores all within 10-15 minutes also. Both King Soopers and Safeway have grocery stores within 10 minutes. A new retail center known as The Shoppes at Flying Horse is located within the community and continues to add new retailers as the community continues to grow. Memorial and Penrose Hospitals are both within 10-15 minutes.
About the Schools
Flying Horse is also home to a new school in the award winning Academy School District 20. The “Discovery Canyon” campus hosts grades K-12. The campus provides a safe, secluded setting that integrates all grade levels in a forward-thinking, content-rich study program. With an amphitheater and special areas in which to display student work, Discovery Canyon is as much a community as a place of learning, and its unique location, perfect for environmental studies, play favorably with the school’s math and science emphasis.

Amenities within the neighborhood include trails, open spaces, neighborhood and pocket parks, an in-line hockey arena, neighborhood Village areas, and extraordinary recreation facilities.
